Bio­gra­phie

Johan­na Pyykkö has stu­di­ed film­ma­king and screen­wri­ting in Swe­den and a bache­lor in film direc­ting from The Nor­we­gi­an Film School whe­re she gra­dua­ted in 2016. She is inte­res­ted in sub­jects rela­ted to power, belon­ging, iden­ti­ty and sexua­li­ty. Her short films have been scree­ned at film fes­ti­vals all over the world. Her latest short “The Mani­la Lover” is having gre­at suc­cess on the fes­ti­val cir­cuit and has won many awards . Pyykkö is   curr­ent­ly working on her debut fea­ture film “Ebba”.
