Er fragt dich nach Details zu der Stadt, aus der du behaup­test zu kom­men, und ver­gleicht dei­ne Ant­wor­ten mit einer Land­kar­te. „View from Abo­ve“ zeigt das Modell einer zer­stör­ten Stadt und erzählt die Geschich­te von M, der ver­hört wird, um Asyl zu erlangen.

Bio­gra­phie

Hiwa K was born in Kur­di­stan-Nor­t­hern Iraq in 1975. He par­ti­ci­pa­ted in various group shows such as Mani­fes­ta 7, the “Edg­wa­re Road Pro­ject” at the Ser­pen­ti­ne Gal­lery (2012), the Venice Bien­na­le (2015) and documenta14, Kassel/Athens (2017). In 2016 he recei­ved the Arnold Bode Pri­ze and the Sche­ring Stif­tung Art Award and had a solo exhi­bi­ti­on at KW, Ber­lin (2017). Recent exhi­bi­ti­ons in 2018 include solo shows at the Kunst­ver­ein Han­no­ver, the New Muse­um in New York City, and S.M.A.K., Ghent.
